Bernese are a very sociable breed of dog.  They rely on, and crave, human company. They enjoy the company of other dogs and other animals.  Of course, the motivation MAY be that Bernese are very inquisitive (well, actually they are very NOSEY!) and so they just HAVE to investigate and be a part of everything that goes on around them!
